Japanese pressing of the 2008 release of Narrow Stairs follows Death Cab for Cutie's 2005's Grammy Award-nominated Platinum album Plans. It is produced by the band's own Chris Walla, who has produced Death Cab's past five albums, as well as albums by Nada Surf and the Decemberists, among others. The first single 'I Will Possess Your Heart' received major markets adds and airplay within one day. Death Cab bassist Nick Harmer states, 'I hope this album is a bit of a surprise for those out there that think they have US all figured out.' This version includes two demos as bonus tracks. Warner.

結構好きです。軽くアルバム通して聴けるのに、何度リピートしても飽きません。１曲１曲が、それぞれのアピールポイントを持っているので、飛ばす曲は自分ありません。異邦の国で、このアルバムをBGMにお酒が飲めたらうまいだろうな。モリッピーさん発見。ldoaのレビューで見かけました。

邦盤が出るまで買うのを我慢してました。長かった・・・。でも、内容はとても良いです！今作は、車を運転しながら聴くと、もう最高です。

ああ?最高…ベンの歌声聴くと泣きそうになるわ…前作よりよりバンドサウンドを強調させた作風…ギターも気持ち良く鳴ってます…空間をいかした音作りにスケールアップ感を感じますが…いやいやいつものデスキャブ節は全開なんで前作からのファンの方にもお薦めデス！しょうがないから邦盤も買っちゃうかなあ…その代わりボートラ最低3曲は入れてね！ワーナーさん！（笑）
