さて、デイブ・ブルーベックという名前は覚えていなくても、「Take five」は覚えていない人はいないでしょう。CMにも使われたことがあります。見事な5拍子の名曲です。とりあえず、この超メジャーチューンのオリジナルを聴いてみたい人へ。

普段聴くのは９９％がクラシックですが、ときどき古い日本のフォークソングやジャズの「名盤」と言われるものを聴きます。そういったレコード時代の名盤はやはりレコードで聞くのが趣きもあり良いと思います。ただそういったものは中古で入手する以外なかったのですが、昨今のアナログブームの影響かときどき新品でも見かけるようになり、本盤も１５００円で入手できる手軽さがとても良いです。本当に何十年ぶりかに新品盤を買いましたが、取り出す際に「傷をつけないように」といった面倒さがいいですね。

　独り歩きしている位、有名な曲「Ｔａｋｅ　ｆｉｖｅ（テイク・ファイヴ）」が収録されているアルバム１枚です。この曲は変拍子なので、ジャズの曲の中でも変わった楽曲ですが、押さえておいて間違いは無いでしょう。
