チェリビダッケの入門用のファースト・チョ...

チェリビダッケの入門用のファースト・チョイスとしては最適なボックス・セット! 私の場合、チェリビダッケはブルックナーから入ったが、チェリラビダッケを聴いたことがない方が最初に選ぶのであればお馴染みのドイツ交響曲が収録されたこちらのボックス・セットだと思う。暫くはここに収録された14枚のCDでチェリビダッケの大河のような悠然たる演出を十分に堪能できる。個人的な感想としては、チェリビダッケのモーツァルトだけはモーツアルトの曲想とはだいぶ違うと感じたが、それ以外は、フルトヴェグラーの流れを汲むまさにドイツ音楽の真骨頂と云える演出だと思う。音質的にも収録されている演奏は1980年代後半から90年代初期のデジタル録音のものがほとんどであり、驚くほどクリアでダイナミックレンジが広く、チェリビダッケの追求した「間」がCDという規格の範囲では余すところなく、再現されていると思う。よく、チェリビダッケのテンポが遅すぎるとかいうコメントを見かけるが、楽器を齧ったことがあればすぐにわかることだが、速い演奏は勢いで誤魔化しがきくが、ゆっくりしたテンポの演奏ではミスが目立つし、むしろリズム・キープの難易度は高くなる。それゆえ、息の長い演奏をするためにオケは尋常でない鍛錬を経て実現された稀少な演奏であることを念頭に置いて聴くべきである。

指揮者は録音嫌いだったとのことだが素晴らしい録音のCDだ。まるでホールで聴いているような感じを受ける。ライブ録音でこのレベルは素晴らしい。演奏も素晴らしい。テンポは他の指揮者と比較するとゆっくりであることは事実であるが何らマイナスには感じない。むしろ色々な発見ができ、他の演奏への興味を掻き立てるトリガーにもなっており、チェリビダッケには感謝したい。

音はいいよね、確かに。興味本位で聴いてみる価値はあります。でも、繰り返し聞く気にはなれない。少なくとも私の感性にはなにも響かなかったことは断言します。売るのも惜しい気がするので、飾っときますが。
