欧州ピアノトリオもいいけれど、アメリカのベテランピアニストの新作もいい。少しも奇をてらうことのない演奏で、私のジャズ心のツボをしっかり刺激してくれる。かといって古くはない。新しいジャズのひとつの形がここにはあるのだと思う。４曲に参加しているVincent Herringのテナーサックスもいい味を出している。
