In the past century during the sixties, Sergiu Celibidache recorded a series of live events conducting RAI orchestra which today still are one of the most exciting expressions of his art of conducting.
One of his first and major productions has been Brahms’ Deustches Requiem op.
45 recorded on February the 19th,1960 in Milan and performed by two extraordinary soloists such as Hermann Prey and Agnes Giebel.
A moved and deep reading, a sort of long and hard prayer which is still amazing for its intensity of feeling.
