Houston pianist Bob Henschen has just released his second jazz trio CD, 'Cravo e Canela' (clove and cinnamon), featuring bassist Aric Nitzberg and drummer Tim Solook. Bob's new album includes a wide variety of jazz standards and seldom heard compositions by drummer Jack DeJohnette and trumpeter Tex Allen. The title cut is an exciting 3/4 samba by Brazilian singer Milton Nascimento. All in all, 'Cravo e Canela,' is a fitting follow-up to Bob's well received first trio CD, 'Live at Cezanne,' which will also be re-released soon.
