61年のライブ録音。 スコット・ラファロとポール・モチアンという、最強メンバーでのトリオの演奏が炸裂。未だに、人気上位に来る名盤中の名盤です。小難しいこと考えずに、誰でも聴けますので、ちょっとジャズはなあ、という人もどうぞ。とにかく、ジャズの中では、知らない人がいないアルバムの一つです。

一生聴ける名盤としてすぐに思い浮かぶ作品。はじめて聞いた時にその凄さに気が付かなかった理由がわからない。有名な2曲はもちろんのこと、Milestoneの濁流にのまれるような感覚は唯一無二。

本盤のCD盤での決定盤はﾘｳﾞｧｰｻｲﾄﾞ(OJC)87年盤です。ﾏｽﾀｰも最良ですし何より87年当時のﾃﾞｼﾞﾀﾙﾘﾏｽﾀｰでもう既に最高の音です。音は力強く曲順はﾎﾞｰﾅｽﾄﾗｯｸをﾐｯｸｽした編集ですが不自然なﾌｪｰﾄﾞｲﾝ、ｱｳﾄが無く曲がｽﾑｰｽにつながっています。最高のﾜﾙﾂﾌｫｰﾃﾞﾋﾞｲがここにあります。
