素晴らしい演奏である。フルトベングラーが出してていたであろう、ベルリンフィルの音色が、ステレオでよみがえったといいて良いのではないだろうか。

確かに凄い演奏ですね、第三楽章までは。しかし、第四楽章に入ると空気が一変します。それは、第四楽章だけ録音日が違うからと以前に聞いたことがあります。第三楽章までなら★7つ、第四楽章は平凡で★3つですかね。よって、総合★5つということで（笑）。

オリジナルLPでもCDでも聴きました。多くの方が賛美のご感想ですが、私は組しません。内的燃焼度が低くよく聴くと平板な表情の演奏に終わっています。この指揮者でなければという第9でもないです。こう云ってはなんですが、この程度の第9なら今はありすぎるぐらいあります。もっと感動する第9を希望します。なぜなら、ベートーヴェンの音楽ですから。
