私はシゲティの信奉者である。しかしこの全集は……何度聴いても大して感銘を受けた例しがない。如何せんアラウのピアノが鈍過ぎるのだ。そのせいだろうがシゲティのヴァイオリンも何時になく下手糞に聴こえる。録音も含めとても万人向けとは言い難いちょっと痛い全集だ。但し、一部のファンの間で名盤の誉れ高いのも事実。私は支持為かねるが。
