伝説の来日公演から２ヵ月後、1961年3月14日に録音され、1967年に発売された本作は、アート・ブレイキー＆ザ・ジャズ・メッセンジャーズの歴代の名ラインアップが揃った作品。テナー・サックスのウェイン・ショーター、トランペットのリー・モーガン、ピアノのボビー・ティモンズ、ベースのジミー・メリット。ショーターとモーガンがそれぞれ2曲、ティモンズが1曲を担当、モーガンの壮大な6/8モーダル曲「Afrique」、ショーターのマイナーな名曲「Those Who Sit And Wait」などがハイライト。ボビー・ティモンズが作曲した「A Little Busy」ではディープなソウルを表現しており、アルバムの最後にはクリフォード・ジョーダンの曲「Lost and Found」が軽快に演奏されている。
