アート・ブレイキー＆ザ・ジャズ・メッセンジャーズのライヴの聖地、NYのバードランドでのライヴ・アルバムは1954-1960年にBlue Noteに 『A Night at Birdland』, 『At the Jazz Corner of the World』, 『Meet You at the Jazz Corner of the World』とあるがその中でも来日する前年1960年9月14日に行われたライヴ盤2枚組が再発。
こちらライヴのVol.2にはハンク・モブレ―作の ‘Night Watch’, ‘High Modes’、ショーター作の‘The Summit’などを収録。
