素晴らしい演奏です。バレンボイムはベルリンの壁崩壊の時のベト７が愛聴盤ですが、それに並ぶ感動を覚えました。元来、速くて軽い第九は大嫌いで３０年以上バイロイトを聴き続けてきましたが、これでようやく卒業できそうです。他の方も書いておられましたが、何故この演奏が評価されないのか理解できません。

ベルリンで実際にこの演奏を聴いて来ました。本当に「すばらしい」の一言｡１楽章の冒頭などはフルトヴェングラーが乗り移ったかと思えるほど深遠に始まってゾクゾクしました。若いオケですがバレンボイムの意志によく反応しています。一流歌手がおつきあいで参加したのではないのもよくわかる熱い演奏です。アンコールでマイヤーが「イゾルデ」を唄いましたがそれが入っていたら「最高！」でした。

　なぜこの演奏の評価が低いのか分からない。 　確かにｵｹは学生ｵｹでｱﾝｻﾝﾌﾞﾙは十全ではない。 　しかし、その些細なﾏｲﾅｽを打ち消すほどにこの演奏は熱く、音楽的であると私は思っている。
