Pianist Alexandre Tharaud and cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras are long-established as a duo team, but this is the first time that Queyras has joined Tharaud for an Erato recording. ドイツ的な重々しさは少なく、その分、細かなところまで情感の伝わる演奏です。ブラームスの人物イメージがだいぶ変わります。
