    かつて過去のニューヨークに戻った経験を持つサイモン・モーリーが、第一次世界大戦とタイタニック号の沈没を回避するために、再び時間の旅に出る。 本書の大きなテーマの一つは、過去の改変。タイムトラベルものでは禁止されているのだが、かなりの作品で、この問題が取り上げられていることを考えると、魅力あるテーマなのだろう。 著者の魅力は、ノスタルジックで甘さ漂う世界観。本作もそれがいかんなく発揮されている。
