Sun Ra

「俺の体には緑の血が流れている」「大気圏外は気持ちいいよ！」と語るサンラ。アーケストラを率いて世界各地に「巡礼」を続けるハーマン・ソニー・ブラント、ことサンラ。1930年代から自己のトリオを結成して活動を始め、1946－7年のフレッチャー・ヘンダーソン楽団でのピアニスト＝アレンジャーとしての仕事で本格的にプロとして名を上げた。
