2017 release. Judy Collins and Stephen Stills together at last! Two folk legends of Laurel Canyon's countercultural music scene join forces on this gorgeous album of all new recordings! Features captivating versions of classic tunes by fellow folk icons Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen plus a few of their own compositions! It was easy for Judy Collins to put a little something extra into her performance of Leonard Cohens song Everybody Knows on the album. After all, it was Judys encouragement and her recordings of Cohen songs like Suzanne and Bird on a Wire that helped get Cohens career off the ground in the 60s. It was also in the 60s that Collins first met Stephen Stills (remember Suite: Judy Blue Eyes?) and first collaborated with him. In fact, this album features an update on the first song they wrote together, 1968s Who Knows Where the Time Goes. Also here is Judy, a duet version of a late-60s Stills demo. Judy and Stephens harmonies are just heavenly all across this recording, which also features a new spin on CSNYs Carry On and the new Collins composition River of Gold.
