Earth Sound

Right here, right now, the solid Earth is moving under your feet. Earthquakes, storms, and ocean waves all contribute to a chorus of imperceptibly slow vibrations that ripple across the planet's surface and deep into it's vast interior. Sound artist/seismologist JT Bullitt takes recordings of these natural subsonic vibrations, as captured by a global network of digital seismographs, and transposes them into high-quality multichannel audio.
