They were at the very center of the Nardcore scene and their lead guitarist Tony Cortez is considered the Mayor of Nardcore. Their songs are fast - energetic - none of them sound the same - and they don't have that metal-tinged punk thing a lot of Nardcore/hardcore bands tend to have sometimes. Best of Ill Repute is the original Ill Repute Omelete LP release with extra tracks and with a better cover, the artwork from Ill Repute's best selling record, the Oxnard Land of No Toilets 7 EP with over 6000 sales in it's first 2 years and has been out of print ever since. The back page of the booklet has pictures of all the Mystic LP's containing Ill Repute tracks.
