今ではすっかりジャムバンドの親玉的存在になりゲストを招いて和気あいあいと演奏するミュールだが、結成当時はガチガチにスリリングなインタープレーを売りにするトリオだった。そのミュールのファースト。 スタジオライブで録ったと思うが、この時期のライブを聴いてしまうと少々大人しく感じてしまう。 楽曲単体で見ても次作からが本領発揮といった感じ。

親元(？)オールマンとは異なるブルーズロックサウンド。ちょっと黒過ぎるのはウォーレンが元々ブルーズ畑だからね。サザンロックのルーツは勿論ブルーズの影響が強いが、サザンに内在するカントリー色を求めているリスナーには重い内容かな。少しくどいように聴こえてしまうコード進行もあったり...。FREEの⑩も重いね（悪い意味でなく）⑦ではBLUES TRAVELERのジョン・ポッパーが相変わらずの超絶ハープを聴かせてくれる。
