ラストでリンゴが生前のジョージと交わした最後の会話を涙ながらに語るシーンには思わず目頭が熱くなりました。 全体的にはよく出来た映像だとは思いますが、しかし、残念ながらインド関連がやや長すぎるのと、低迷期から復活した「クラウド・ナイン」時代や、あの歴史的なクラプトンとの日本公演などは全く語られていないのが、残念です。

パート１、パート２計3時間だが見始めると一気に引き込まれて見てしまった。ビートルズ創世記から死期を迎えるまでの50年近くの生きざまを洋々な写真、動画、関係者や本人の証言を繋ぎ合わせて見事なドキュメンタリーが構成されている。もちろん彼の音楽も随所に鮮明に挿入されており、視覚、聴覚両方よりグイグイ胸に迫ってくる。スコセッシの手腕みごとといわざるを得ない秀作である。
