Product Description

Reissue. 2009 album from the German prog rockers. Eloys musical style includes symphonic and space rock, the latter theme being more prevalent on earlier albums. Despite their nationality and time period, the band is not generally considered krautrock because of their sound, which has much more in common with English progressive rock and symphonic rock groups such as Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Yes and Camel.

前作から実に11年ぶり、世界中のファンの熱...

前作から実に11年ぶり、世界中のファンの熱烈な要望を受けて制作されたという新作は久々の快作だ！ 「Ｒａ」以降、ダイナミズムに乏しい作品が多かった彼らだが、今回はバンドサウンドのカギを握るベーシスト、クラウス・ペーター・マッツィオル復帰後では最もヴァイタルな演奏を展開している(後半やや息切れ気味なのはご愛嬌)。フランク・ボルネマンのギターは所々で、ややハードな新味を見せてくれる。キーボードのミヒャエル・ゲルラッハ、ドラムのボーノ・ショーフ（元マコーリィ・シェンカー・グループ）もシュアな演奏を聞かせる。 だがしかし、今作最大のトピックは、黄金期のキーボード奏者ハネス・フォルベルトがヴィンテージ・キーボードを持ち込んで大活躍していることだ。一聴しただけで彼と分かる、ベンダーを利かせたシンセサイザーの音には相変わらずしびれる。ドイツ国内でシングル･カットされた「Time to Turn」の歌メロを活かしたパートⅡなども、実になつかしく、楽しませてくれる。 日本では「えせシンフォ」「Ｂ級」という、いわれのない差別を受けてきた彼らだが、長年のファンとして再評価を強く望みたい。
