'Beyond' is the first studio release in 18 years from the original line-up of the legendary Dinosaur Jr, which seest hem back to their ear-shredding, distorted best.

In 2005 the original trio of J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph reunited for several live dates, culminating in a day curated by the band at All Tomorrows Parties. Such was the demand to see them play together, they had to perform two sets, to huge acclaim. It was this success which led the band to return to the studio and produce new material. They remain recognisably Dinosaur Jr; the album retains their original, raw and distorted sound, whilst reflecting a changed, perhaps more mature approach to songwriting. The record includes two tracks written by bassist Lou ‘Sebadoh’ Barlow. The video for their first single ‘Been There All The Time’ was directed by Matt Dillon.

会社ではもうすでにオルタナティヴな存在。工場内での仕事はとってもグランジ........。そして帰りの車の中で聴くのはいつもダイナソー。特にこのアルバムのJの歌とギターは、心にしみます。

まさかここまでの作品が出来上がるとは思ってもみなかった。純粋にALBUMの出来栄えとしては、BUGに匹敵するのでは？再結成でMAGICを起こした稀有な例として語り継がれる作品でしょう。
