Joy Is Waiting

With the highly-anticipated follow-up to Carla's First Christmas (Nema-Amen Records, 2000), top-ranked Morgan Stanley investment banker and gospel artist Carla Ann Harris is giving back to the community. Her sophomore CD, tastefully titled Joy Is Waiting, radiates with a feel-good, hallelujah contemporary style of gospel music. Listeners are encouraged to have faith because joy is waiting on the other side of any challenge. The CD includes three original tracks written by Ms. Harris in collaboration with producer Ron Melrose: Standing on Holy Ground, Cast Your Cares, and the title song. in addition to Mr. Melrose, Joy... features a supporting cast of fine New York musicians that includes Gene Lewin (drums), Steve Greenfield (sax), and members of the Broadway Inspirational Voices. All proceeds from the CD will go to fund scholarships for inner city students at St. Charles Borromeo School in NYC (Harlem) and Bishop Kenny High School in Carla's hometown of Jacksonville, FL. for fans of: Shirley Caesar, Dottie Peoples, and CeCe Winans.
