2008 debut solo album from the former leader of the Unbelievable Truth and brother of Radiohead's Thom. After the break up of his band, Andy spent a number of years in Moscow gathering his thoughts. Simple is stripped-back, acoustic and emotional, often similar to the quieter half of Neil Young's After the Gold Rush, Ryan Adams' Heartbreaker, Elliott Smith, Gillian Welch, early REM or Low. 初めて聴いた時の正直な印象は、地味だと思いました。 どちらかというと、ドラムの効いたロックが好きなので・・・ でも２回３回と聴いているうちに、さらっとした優しいギターの音色と丁寧に発せられる言葉が心を満たしてくれるようになりました。 耳を傾ける者を優しく迎えてくれる曲。 聴けば聴くほど、好きになっていくアルバムです。
