パールマンは同時期にレヴァイン／ウィーン・フィルと協奏曲全集をセッション録音している。演奏傾向は同様で、構えたところのない、なめらかで柔らかく、それでいてしっかり歌われている。ガラミアン同窓のズッカーマンとは多くの共演をしてきて、意気もこの上なくピッタリでまずは完璧なソロだ。協奏交響曲は協奏曲より作品の充実度が高いことと、ライヴ演奏という事もあって、思い切りが良く、華やいだ趣がある。指揮も没個性のレヴァインよりもメータは踏み込みが効いている。 オーケストラも歌心に富み、コンチェルトゥーネでのユヴァルのオーボエ、ベルグマンのチェロも不足はない。
