凄い録音が残っていたものです。聞き逃す手はありません。フランスのオーケストラらしく、響きが明るめで重心がやや上にある感じの合奏ですが、非常に密度の濃い、表情の変化が豊かな、それでいて端正な演奏です。かなり厳格なリハーサルが行われたに違いありません。もし、マルティノンのセッション録音がいまいちであるとか、フランス国立(放送)管てあまり上手くないんだよな、という理由で食指が動かないという方は、騙されたと思って是非聞いてみてください。
