ベート−ベンの交響曲第五番は名演です。 昔N響アワーでこの曲の放送があり、なんだまたベート−ベンかと思ってなんとなく流していたらぐいぐいと演奏に引き込まれて感動しました。 なによりスクロヴァチェフスキの意図が明確に表れています。

悪評ばかりなのが解せない。大フーガ、ルトスワフスキ、運命、全て素晴らしい。金管？メカニックじゃない味がある。日本人は技術しか求めませんな。当盤に比べると、ザール盤はオケの低体温が気になる。ミスターＳはＮ響とは疎遠になってしまったが、読響とは蜜月期のようだ。
