日本語字幕が付いてないことだけが残念。 指揮者、歌手、合唱団、オーケストラ、演出そして舞台美術におけるまで、全てがこの作品の魅力を存分に伝えてくれる。 この作品を日本で紹介するのにこの映像はベストと言える。 近年のオペラの上演では作品本来の設定から離れた演出や舞台美術をするとこが多いが、ここではオーソドックスで、それでいてロシアのお伽噺のファンタジックな世界をふくらませて楽しい舞台にして見せてくれている。
