As an extra bonus, the Styx video archive has been included featuring their four pre-MTV music videos for Babe, Borrowed Time, Boat on the River (all from 1979) and Come Sail Away (from 1977). まず、お買い得!PVもたっぷり入ってるし。トムペティやダイアーストレイツ等この頃の映像は、あれ?視力落ちたのかな、くらい悪い、ただ曲がたまらなく良いっ、それになんと生き生きとしてることか、音源でしか知らなかったｽﾃｲｸｽがこんなにもパワフルなライブバンドだったことに感動、まさにハードプログレNO1!あっライバルのカンサスの映像チェックしたい

STYXのフィナーレとなった「Kilroy was here」のライブ。 「Paradise Theatre」の成功に気をよくしたDennisがついに念願のミュージカル仕立て手を出してSTYXにトドメを刺してしまった・・。 ただ、ライブ自体はスタジアムバンドの風格たっぷりに、当時のアメリカンバンドスタイルを確立していますので、当時の洋楽ﾌｧﾝならこの画質でこのスタイルのライブが見れるのは嬉しいです。まだ皆若いですし。 ＃Cold WarでのTommyのギターや＃The Best of Times〜＃Come Sail AwayでのDennisのメロディメイカーぶりなどやはりSTYXの魅力は尽きないな〜と改めて感心させられます。 ボーナスに入っている1979のCornerstoneツアーの映像はがあるなら出して欲しいですね。 PVは個人的にはMusic Timeは’80sの色彩満開で大好きです。

物議を醸した話題作｢ミスター・ロボット｣に続くツアーの模様を収めたビデオがついにDVD化。冒頭のショート・フィルムをはじめ、当時多くのフォロワーやパロディを生んだ｢ロックの禁じられた近未来｣というプロットが具現化され、ステージの随所に盛り込まれている。禁ロックの独裁者をノリノリで演じる、生来のHR野郎JYが最高。しかし何より、バンドの絶頂期を締めくくる圧巻のパフォーマンスが聴きものだ。さらにボーナスとして歴代のPVを一挙収録、A&M時代の映像はこれ一枚でOKという、文字通りの決定版となっている。DOMO ARIGATO!!日本盤出してね。
