Beautifully played and recorded. Melos is an amazing quartet.

I have been listening to Heidsieck’s version of suite 16 vs Richter / Gavrilov. I enjoy both versions. But I think at times he surpasses Richter in the first movement. A bit fresher.

The clearest, most muscular Schumann Fantasy Richter performed. The Carnegie Hall performance is great as well. Of course, Richter is Master. We are blessed to have had him.

This Végh Quartet set is in clear mono sound. And the rendition of Bartok String quartets is a nice contrast with the ’’63 Juilliard String quartet, perhaps more lyrical. the Brahms is very detailed and inspiring. Can’t recommend this set enough!

Richter and Haydn, What can one say? Beautifully performed, especially sonata no.62 in e flat, op.52.

YUDINA: Shostakovich, Beethoven, Taneyev Spectacular!

Regardless of the repackaging and the barely adequate masterings of op.31, it is RICHTER. What’s not to like!?

The Brahms is fresh and alive as only Richter can make it!

Beautifully rendered. Warm, loving renderings of favorite romantic repertoire.

BRILLIANT! THE BRAHMS ESPECIALLY COMES ACROSS VERY CLEAR MONO. A STUDIO RECORDING WITH THE TENSION OF A LIVE PERFORMANCE. THE FRANCK IS QUITE PASSIONATE AS WELL, WITH RICHTER AT THE HEIGHT OF HIS PIANISTIC POWERS. THE OTHER 2 PIECES ARE INTERESTING FROM A PURELY HISTORIC PERSPECTIVE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

One of the greatest Goldberg’s full of life to my way of thinking. Very spiritual and passionate! Yudina was in touch with GOD. I own the copy of this recording on VENEZIA which comes from the original master.
