Product Description

Since their recording debut in 1988, Take 6 continue to surprise and amaze with their latest release, 'Beautiful World'. While never losing their grounding in gospel, over the years Take 6 have built an eclectic repertoire drawing from gospel, jazz, doo-wop, RnB, pop, '60s soul and hip-hop, and more. Co-produced by Marcus Miller, 'Beautiful World' includes 11 carefully selected, uplifting songs from the annals of gospel, pop, rock and R&B, covering some of the greatest music of the20th Century, such as renditions of the Doobie Brothers' 1976 hit 'Takin' It To The Streets', to 1960s pop anthem 'People Get Ready', as well as the title song 'What A Beautiful World' by Donald Fagen.

何度も聞いてると良さがにじみ出てきますね...

何度も聞いてると良さがにじみ出てきますね。当初MARCUS MILLERとの絡みはイマイチと思っていましたが、彼独特のグルーヴ感がTAKE 6に程よい味付けをしていると思いますね。しかし、MARCUS MILLERの音が前面に出すぎて、TAKE 6がもつ清涼感がやや消えてしまっているとも言えるかな。まあ、プロデューサーだから仕方ないか。

感動。取り上げたカヴァー曲のカテゴリーが多岐に渡りながらも、やっぱり、Take 6になっている。娘起用の Hathawayカヴァーはオマージュが感じられるし、P.Gabriel の曲は6/8を4/4に変えて、新解釈。 M.Miller らしいリズムアレンジが各所に。でも Take 6 のグルーヴとは、やや、拮抗の感が…。

TAKE6初心者ですが大変おいしかったデス。やはり本物は違います！ﾏｰｶｽ･ﾐﾗｰ ﾌｧﾝはさらに楽しめます。私的にはﾚｲﾗがﾌｨｰﾁｭｱされてる『いつか自由に』がおススメ。参加ﾐｭｰｼﾞｼｬﾝもｻﾝﾎﾞｰﾝにｶｰｸ･ｳｪｲﾗﾑ、ﾌﾗｼﾞｬｲﾙのｷﾞﾀｰはﾏｰｸ･ｱﾝﾄﾜﾝ 聞き込んでﾌﾞﾙｰﾉｰﾄ公演にＧＯ！
