発売時はＬＰレコード盤で、「Ａ面がスタジオ録音」で「Ｂ面がライブ録音」という構成だった事も当時は話題となった。Ａ－３のONE LAST COLD KISS の中で繰り返し演奏され耳に残る「SWANのテーマ」というのがある。これがＢ面ライブの後半、FELIXがベースでチョーキング＆フィードバックを派手にやって注目されている......とそのときに「SWANのテーマ」がベースだけで引用される。その後はベースとギターで「掛け合い的フレーズの応酬」となり盛り上がりライブはさらに進行して行く。そんなところがスリリングでもあり、醍醐味でもあった。マウンテンが「実力有るライブ・バンドなんだ！」と世界に示した名盤といえるのではないだろうか。

マウンテンを知らない人が初めて聴くならコレ「CLIMBING！」イチオシです！「想像されたウェスタンのテーマ」や「ヤスガーの農場」は最高です。そして隠れた名曲「バンドの少年」でのレズリーのギタープレイは幾何学的フレーズと云われた傑作と言えます。あのシンプルなギターLPジュニアの無限の可能性を示唆した素晴らしいプレイ！流麗なフレーズ組み立てとジュニアトーンを楽しんで下さい。
