Terje Gewelt(Bass)とのデュオ作でその名を知られるChristian Jacob(Piano)のトリオアルバム。Adam Nussbaum(Drums)、Steve Swallow(Bass)という豪華なリズム隊を従えてのエリントン・ナンバー集ですが、スタンダードで固めるにはSteve Swallowのエレキベースは、ちょっと裏目に出たようです。この方のベースは変幻自在で、Carla Bleyのような先鋭的な方との相性は抜群なんですが。このアルバムでは、もう少し重く語るベース奏者を選ぶべきだったのかもしれません。
