「一曲一曲が短いからな。ジャズのソロが聴きたい私としては、不安だな。ソロ吹いているのかな」。そう思いの方、安心してください。ちゃんとソロ聞けますよ。存分に。しかも、全曲楽しい楽想です。にぎやかで (うるさいのではない)。血湧き肉躍りますよ。3,5曲目がきわだって良いです。勿論、それ以外も良いです。トレーンの引用がまたすごい。「この曲で、よくこの引用を」ってね。つい、にんまりしますよ。どれだけ引用を見付けられるか。クイズ解いているみたいで楽しいですな。

これは紛れも無いカークの最高傑作。時代とジャンルを飛び越えて心に染みる音楽じゃないでしょうか？人気作家”伊坂幸太郎氏”も著書「重力ピエロ」の中でこの盤のすばらしさを描いています。できれば原盤で欲しい1枚。

堅苦しいｼﾞｬｽﾞのｲﾒｰｼﾞとは大分異なる｡彼の生い立ちはどうでもいい､彼らが奏でるではなく弾き出す音はｽｳｨﾝｸﾞもﾓﾀﾞﾝも超えてただ音楽をやる楽しさうれしさに満ちている｡
