DTの長年のファンです。 アルバムに対し、賛否両論あるみたいだけど、 ジョーダンが入って高速ユニゾンやソロ等、今までにない様々な引き出しが増えてファンとしては楽しい、うれしいの連発！ ジョン、ジョーダンのスリリングかつ、メロディアスなソロにしびれます。 ストーリーとか素敵ですけど、あんまり関係なく、1曲ずつ楽しめます！ ダンスオブエタニティ危ない曲です。 ライブできるの？？

プログレッシヴHM/HRの頂点に君臨するDream Theaterが1999年に放つ傑作です。彼らは「Images And Words」というアルバムで世界的にも商業的にも成功し、第二のDream Theaterを目指し、後続部隊が日々、切磋琢磨している状況ですが、このアルバムからジョーダン・ルーデス(Key)が正式に加入。アルバムのグレードがさらに向上した。やはりこの男、とんでもない人物のようだ。イントロNo.1に続いてインストNo.2は壮大な音世界が広がる。その完成度は王者の力をまざまざと見せつけた内容です。ジェイムズ・ラブリエの歌が響き渡るNo.3、静と動が見事なNo.5、攻撃的で華麗な超大作No.6、スリリングなインストNo.9、完璧なピアノプレイが聴けるNo.10など、まさしく圧巻の一言。名盤中の名盤。完璧だ。

DTはコレと「Images and wards」から入りましたが、最初は良さが分からず。 「なんでわざわざ分かりにくいことするんだろう？」が第一印象でした（それまでは変拍子多用の音楽を聴いてきてなかったため） 数ヶ月たってからだろうか、DTの良さに気づいたのは。聴きこむとやっぱり発見が色々あっておもしろいです。 気に入って最初の頃は少し落ち着く後半が好みだったのですが、そのうち前半が気に入るようになってきました。 ただ、やはり若干のとっつきにくさはあるように思います。とはいえ、なんだかんだで好きです。
