ジョルジュ・アルヴァニータスがカラーレ・レーベルに残した3部作の中でも最もファンの支持の大きいアルバム。ジャッキー・サムソン〜シャルル・ソードレとのコンビはこの時期円熟の極致に達していた。アルバニータスがその後メンバーの死によってモダンな演奏を、ある意味で諦めてしまったのも、いかにこのトリオが彼にとって気持ちのよいマンバーだったかの証明になるだろう。いわゆる“バード・アイテム”が16曲にわたって収録されている。ピアノ・ソロが6曲収録されており、アリヴァニータスの特性がはっきりわかる演奏となっている。ファッツ・ウォーラーでお馴染みの“エイント・ミスビヘヴィン”では、普段パリのカフェで弾いているようなリラックスした様子が手にとるように伝わってくる華麗な演奏だ。アルバム・タイトル曲は一分余りの短い演奏ソロだが、素晴らしくスイングしている。ソロ＝9星、トリオ＝８星
