Cut from the same cloth as the fellow punk outfit Mongol 800, Higashiyakena, Okinawa-based quintet Hy - Hide (vocal), Izu (vocal/keyboard), Shun (drums/rap), Yuhei (guitar) and Shinsuke (bass) - look set to follow in the footsteps of their contemporaries. In fact, 'Street Story' has become the first independent album to debut at the top of the Japanese chart. From the opening track 'Am 11:00', which sets the tone for the album perfectly, to the superbly Shamisen-featured title track, 'Street Story' delivers a variety of songs with infectious melodies and combination of three distinctive vocals.

いい意味でも悪い意味でも完璧にミクスチャー的なサウンドに終止符を打った作品。でもHYはこういう方向性の方があってる気がする。

ＨＹは、とてもいい歌手です。 僕は今までの歌手の中で、一番　 好きな歌手です。 仲宗根泉は「カワイイ。」です。 とてもいい声している、すごい かっこいいです。 みんなも好きです。 つかHY『　サイコー　』!!!! ＨＹは一番だ!。 これからもがんばってください。

03年4月発表｡HYって､ちょうどいいと思う｡詞も曲も良いでしょ､ｺﾚ｡元気溌剌や〜｡ﾗｯﾌﾟがﾀﾞﾒか…確かに､言われてみればね｡｢飛び交うﾋﾞｰﾄに付いてこれるか〜♪操作不能だそうさ不動の音を〜♪｣ｺﾝﾄﾛｰﾙ､のこと?まぁね…必要か必要でないかって言われたら確かに必要ないかも｡ちょいﾗｯﾌﾟ詞が安っぽいとは思った｡globeにMarc Pantherがもれなく付いてくるのよりはﾏｼだろうけど…｡ていうか比べられねえか｡でもさ〜､とってもｷｬｯﾁｰだし､ｵﾚﾝｼﾞ君たちとは違うんじゃないの?｢あなた｣はｵﾚﾝｼﾞ君たちには書けないかなぁ｡仲宗根さんも良い感じですよね｡ｿﾛで出したらどうかな?そういえば､HYはｼﾝｸﾞﾙ出しませんね､こういう出し方は良いんじゃないですか?HYって､ｲﾝﾃﾞｨｰｽﾞだけど､もはやｲﾝﾃﾞｨｰｽﾞじゃないよね｡ｿﾆｰあたりと契約しては??ﾗｲﾌﾞに行きてえ!
