Kid Creoleことオーガスト・ダーネルと、コーティマンディことアンディ・ヘルナンデス、コーリー・デイが在籍した今や幻のバンドのデビュー作にて最高傑作といえるアルバム。ノスタルジックなビッグ・バンド・サウンドと、彼らのルーツであるラテン・リズム、フランス文化とアメリカ文化が融合し、他に類を見ないサウンドが展開されている。単にオシャレなダンス・アルバムとして聞くも良し、作り込まれた音源、ネタを聞き込んでニンマリするも良し。文句無しの名盤です。後のキッド・クリオールへの進化への布石がよ〜く解ります！
