私にとってのﾎﾞﾝ･ｼﾞｮｳﾞｨとは何を隠そうこの２ndアルバムです。名曲ぞろいの超名盤！ﾎﾞﾝ･ｼﾞｮｳﾞｨの全アルバムの中では１番好きです。曲で選べば３rdになるかもですが、アルバム単位ではこっちですね。地味？最近のアルバムのほうがよっぽど地味に感じますよ。なにかと過小評価されてしまってる可哀想な作品。でも好き。

ひた向きに自分達のロックを追究したミュージシャンとしての彼等には敬意を表するが、富と名声を得て今や普通のアメリカンバンドになってしまい、正直興味は薄れてしまった。そんな彼等の2ndアルバム。粗っぽさも目立つし、曲作りのツメも甘いかもしれないが、この時の彼等でなければ作れなかったアルバムであろう。若さを剥き出しにして、若者の心の葛藤や苦悩をJonが過剰なまでに感情移入して歌い上げている。この叫びが心に刺さったかどうかで、このアルバムの評価が決まるだろう。 高校時代にリアルタイムでM3,M7を聴けたことを、とても幸運に思う。
