メッセージあるわけでなく、インスト中心だけど、この時期全く新しいサウンドだった。パワーと奇妙なアンバランスが同居したロックサウンドに絡むラテンビート。強烈な個性、Ｃ・サンタナしか残らなかったけど（飛散していったのだが）バンドのしつこいオトはしっかり残りました。いいバンドは、オトそのものが違う。結局人間が違うんだろうが・・。

新加入のニール・ショーンとゲストのタワーオブパワーホーンセクションのせいか、やたらに威勢のイイアルバムです。当時のサンタナの勢いがそのまま音に出てます。好調です。
