今夜はビート・イットでソロギターを弾くのはエディ・ヴァンヘイレン（しかもノーギャラ）ですが、自身のアルバム　1984がチャート1位になるのを、このアルバムが阻む結果になったのは皮肉なことだ。

黒い音楽が中心の前作と、音楽を白くしてしまった以降の作品との狭間であるこの作品では、双方のいいとこどりをしている印象です。マイケル本人による作曲のみならず、タイトル曲や『Human Nature』を始め、外部ライターの手による作品も起用され、楽曲の質も高いです。

輸入盤は２種類のﾊﾞｰｼﾞｮﾝが存在します｡ﾎﾞｰﾅｽ･ﾄﾗｯｸ込みなら発売国を問わずﾘﾏｽﾀｰ音源ですがﾎﾞｰﾅｽﾄ･ﾗｯｸ未収録のものが旧ﾏｽﾀｰ音源なので音圧や音圧が劣ってしまいます｡全国的に流通量は少ないですが要注意です｡私は数年前に旧音源ﾊﾞｰｼﾞｮﾝを購入した事があり後にｱﾎらしいですが買い替えた事があります(笑)
