静かで物悲しいような始まりから、徐々に厳かで壮大な展開へ、そして性別を超えた高音域の、つぶやくような歌声に、胸の奥をわしづかみ、涙が出そうな気持ちになる。デビューした頃のふくよかさんはどこへやら、007映画のテーマ曲の頃の彼は精悍なルックスに見事に変貌、より楽曲の世界観、荘厳さが似合う歌手になっていた。特にこの曲は好きなので、シングル盤が出て嬉しかった。その人の、この曲が好きと思う時に、シングル盤が出されるのは、本当に有難い。泣きたいのに泣けない時、聴きたくなる。インスト曲で余韻を深めるのも良い気がした。
