独身時代最後のアルバムということ、また最後の曲の歌詞が｢グッバイ｣で終わるので百恵さんのように結婚とともに引退するのかと心配したものです。武道館公演で｢これからも歌い続けていく｣と宣言したときは感動しました。今に至るまで私たちに素晴らしい歌を届けてくれるのはとてもうれしいことです。このアルバムは再度ききなおしてみると、夏のやや大人な爽やかなイメージが表現されていると思います。

個人的には悪くはないかな。打ち込みアレンジはさすがに時代性が感じられてチープに聞こえる感は否めないが、曲自体は良いと思います。詞から松本隆氏が外れているものの自作よりはずっと良い(苦笑)　それにしても「星空のストーリー」ってそんなに言われるほど駄作では無いと思うのは私だけ？　割と彼女のマイナーコード好きなんですけど。やっぱ夏にしか聴かない？佳作です。

I am always skeptical about the reissues...

I am always skeptical about the reissues (especially after the last 74 discs box set) as that was a major let down.. but the Blue-spec reissue of the ’The 9th Wave’ is really good. The print is good and the sound quality is superior. I strongly recommend this particular reissued title.
