Less confusing than the name are the songs: the sort of hard-hitting, powerful, straight-forward rock and roll that Van Halen is known for and that the amazing album covera man being shot point-blank by a cannonimplies. Featuring vocalist Gary Cherone, the band's third official singer and the reason for the III, this is another stalwart entry in the band's incredible legacy.

サミーヘイガーの『5150』から、ヴァン・ヘ...

サミーヘイガーの『5150』から、ヴァン・ヘイレンに興味を持ち、ボーカル変更の、このアルバム。基本的にゲイリーも好きな私にとっては特に違和感なく、馴染めました。他の人のレビューにもあるとおり、曲調が複雑になった気もしますが、お気に入りの一枚。シドニーでのライブ映像なんか見ると、ゲイリーはサミーとデイヴの曲を歌える、上手いボーカルだったんじゃないでしょうか？あと、このアルバム発売時のインタビューで、彼らは『CAN'T STOP LOVING YOU』の様な曲をボツにしたと言ってたような気が。個人的には、その曲を聞いてみたい。また、このメンバーで、あと一枚くらいアルバムを作って欲しがったです。
