In the fall of 1969, Van Morrison entered the studio to record MOONDANCE, the album that would soon become his commercial breakthrough and one of the most beloved recordings of all time. Following it's release by Warner Bros. In February 1970, MOONDANCE would later be certified triple platinum by the RIAA, inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame (1999) and named #65 on the list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time published by Rolling Stone (2003).

Moondanceを初めて聴いた時の感動、忘れません。この雰囲気が出せる歌手は日本には皆無。ようやくリマスターされるのですね、待っていました。しかし、5枚組は必要無いかな。

音楽が音楽として成立しない日本では風貌や『玄人好み』と敬遠気味なのがなんとも残念です。 ヴァン・モリソンの傑作にして人気作。ゼム時代とは打って変って音楽的に境地に達したかのよう。タイトル曲をはじめ『クレイジー・ラヴ』は感涙ものです。バカと言われても仕様がない位ロマンチックな男の歌声。このアルバムで３日は酒が飲めます。
