Jackson 5で聴き終えてはダメよ。子供臭さが抜けてからのJacksonsを聴いてこそ通（？）ってもの。ジャーメインが抜け、六男ランディが参加した本作は、作詞・作曲・プロデュース全て本人達で賄った重要作。リードをとるマイケルも立派な大人に成長、か細さはあるものの、ソウルフルな歌声で参加。アレンジはクインシー一派のグレッグ・フィリンゲインスとジェリー・ヘイということで、初期のマイケルのソロ作が好きな人にはかなりオススメ。ディスコ・ヒット"Blame It On Boggie"（邦題「今夜はブギー・ナイト」）収録。

アルバムタイトルはDESTINYなのに何故か邦題は【今夜はブギーナイト】（勿論B面1曲目にDESTINYも収録）それくらいこの曲は素晴らしいシングルの王道であったという証明。ジャミロクワイさえ霞んで見える絶妙なコード展開と最高のハネ具合に適度なBPMが踊らずにはいられない。クインシージョーンズとの邂逅が生んだ1978年の奇跡！
