旧来のイメージにとらわず、音楽性を広げながらも、キャッチーでポップな3分パンクも残し、その辺りのバランスがとても良い。故にグリーンデイの作品で一番良く聴くのはこのアルバム。そして次々作であるアメリカンイディオットへの布石となった傑作。
