パット・メセニーの魅力のひとつは、留まらないこと変化していくことなんだなぁと思う。 フレットレス・クラシカル・ギターや42弦のピカソ・ギターを使って、新しいサウンドを目指す。 ドラム・ループの手法と抜群のギターテクニックの調和を楽しむ。 1997年のワーナー・ブラザース・レコード移籍の第1弾で、最高の評価を与える人がわりと多いアルバム。 「Across The Sky」はシングルCDも出してます（リミックスもクール)。
