ブッシュ支持をし「悪と闘おう！」と唄った (5) Let’s Roll。最新作はそのブッシュ批判のアルバム。この人は気骨のある人、と思われているが、実はどうしてどうして案外、単純な軽いおっさんなんじゃないじゃろか、と思えても来る。ロックにおける政治的発言なんて結局はそれくらいのモノと知っておく事も必要だろう

M-5を聴いた時は、トム＝ペティかと思ってしまった。メロウでメロディに優れた曲がそろっている。それにしても、このアルバムに対するRolling Stone Record Guideの評価はひどい。荒くれギターのヤングなら良くて、スタジオミュージシャンを多用したかっちりサウンドだと駄目だとでも言うのだろうか（余談ですが、新版のRolling Stone Record Guideは旧版の評価より遥かに納得がいかないものが多い）。

ほぼ毎年アルバムを出してツアーをしてるベテランは、ニール・ヤングだけじゃないでしょうか。彼の前では、６年もアルバムを出さないで集金ツアーをしに、日本に来るストーンズなんてゴミ同然。
