カニエとJAY-Zのコラボさらにビヨンセも参加と、聞いただけでおなかいっぱい、胃もたれしそうでしたが、そんなことはありませんでした。少し暗めの曲調とキャラクターのアクの強さがうまく調和して、聴きやすい音になっています。カニエの５作目に近いようなどこか郷愁的なものも感じられ、案外これからの季節（秋）に似合いそうに感じました。

カニエ独特のサウンド炸裂だが、マンネリ感は否めず、２，３回聴けばいい感じ。jAY-Zのラップもいつものとうりですが、ブループリント３に比し震えがくるような感動がない。 買って損はしないが、両者の名盤として後世に残るアルバムとは考えにくい。 それでもうまくまとまっていて、大きな欠点がないのはさすが。
